Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Coolers are not permitted. September 11, 2010 - Paws Across The Water Duck Race - Duck race at Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 North Myrtle Beach SC, to benefit the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. September 11, 2010 - Annual Puppy Plunge! - The Grand Strand Humane Society and Wild Water and Wheels have partnered together for the first annual “Puppy Plunge” fundraising event. The Grand Strand Humane Society and Wild Water & Wheels are pleased to announce the first annual Puppy Plunge fundraiser on Saturday from 10:00am-4:00pm. Let your dogs enjoy the end of summer with a refreshing dip in the Wild Water & Wheels pools. The park will open a small pool for small dogs and a bigger pool for large dogs. The cost for a dog and a guest is $15.00 and just a guest is $10.00. Children under 2 years of age are free. Each guest will receive a hot dog and a soda. This will be a dog only swim day. People will not be able to swim in the pools. Tickets are non-refundable due to inclement weather. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Grand Strand Humane Society. Tickets can be purchased at The Grand Strand Humane Society, 3241 Mr. Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach or at Wild Water & Wheels, 910 Highway 17 South in Surfside Beach. September 17 - 26, 2010 - SOS Fall Migration - Shag dancers across the nation gather in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach to shag.

September 24 - October 3, 2010 - Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art - The Festival will be held from at Litchfield Plantation. Classical, choral, jazz and more! Kicking off the music festival this year will be the Annual Pawleys Island Wine Festival a benefit for the Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art. Sample wines from over 60 renowned wineries. September 18, 2010 - Annual Humane Society Poker Run - Saturday 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Everyone welcome. Sign in from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Captain Poo's, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Run will end at Swingbridge Saloon, Little River, SC. Cost is $20.00 per participant. Extra cards $10.00 per hand. Each participant will receive an event t-shirt and dinner after the run. September 18, 2010 - Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival - The Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival is held in the Aynor town park. It is a daylong festival for the entire family. We have over 140 craft booths, entertainment and games. The parade starts at 10am and the street dance at 7pm. Lots of delicious food including chicken bog, hot dogs and funnel cakes. September 24 - 26, 2010 - ATALAYA Arts and Crafts Festival - Annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at Huntington Beach State Park near Murrells Inlet. Daily festival admission fee is $6 for each adult. A multi-day pass is available for $10 per adult. Visitors 15 years old and under are admitted free. Park admission is also free. September 25, 2010 - Irish Italian Festival - Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Main Street, North Myrtle Beach. The entrance fee is free to the public the day of the event. Visitors purchase food coupons in increments of $1.00 each. The festival highlights delectable entrees from local restaurants that feature Irish and Italian foods, arts and crafts, awesome music, and an area emphasizing FREE children's activities.
