March 11 - 13, 2010 - National Shag Dance Championships - Finals at STUDEBAKER'S, 2000 North Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC. Competition to select the top shag couples in the USA from the professional non-professional junior senior and masters divisions. $12.00-$20.00 general admission. March 13 - 21, 2010 - Canadian-American Days Festival - Annual event lasting nine days featuring concerts sporting events games arts & crafts parade and dance championships. Activities take place at various sites along the Grand Strand. This grand celebration welcomes Canadians and American visitors on spring break to a festival of sporting events, concerts, historical tours, St. Patrick's Day events and more.

March 13, 2010 - St. Patricks Day Parade and Festival - This annual day of celebrating begins at 9:00 am with the parade on Main Street, North Myrtle Beach. March 20, 2010 - St. Patricks Day Dance - 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Surfside Beach Civic Center, Town of Surfside Beach. For more information call (843)650-9548.
