December 3, 2010 - North Myrtle Beach Christmas Tree Lighting - 6 pm, McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach will be transformed into a brilliant holiday scene with luminaries, decorations and the spirit of Christmas. Special guest of honor; Santa Claus, will arrive courtesy of the North Myrtle Beach Fire Department. Santa Claus will visit with the children and give out holiday treats. December 4, 2010 - North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade - 5:30pm, Main Street, North Myrtle Beach. The tradition continues as Main St in North Myrtle Beach fills with holiday songs, colorful floats, marching bands & beauty queens. Will travel down Main St to Ocean Blvd. and disperse on 2nd Ave N. December 5, 2010 - Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade - Christmas Parade starts at 3pm. Get in the holiday spirit with the annual community parade, "Christmas Boats and Floats for the Kids"! Come and enjoy the fun as the Murrells Inlet Christmas parade starts at Willcox Avenue and marches down Business 17. Immediately following the parade, meet at Morse Landing Park with Santa and the gang. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with the children at the park. The Christmas tree will be lit and the Eagle Scouts will man a bonfire to take the nip out of the air. Choirs will entertain the crowd at the park. Happy Holidays! December 5, 2010 - Myrtle Beach Holiday Parade - 11:00 AM. Myrtle Beach’s ONLY holiday parade takes place around Broadway! The parade includes beauty queens, classic cars, mascots, Santa Claus and much more! It all starts at 11am at Broadway Common’s (near the Visitor’s Center) curbside and ends at Celebrity Square. Presented by Broadway at the Beach to benefit Toys for Tots. For more information call (843)444-3200.

December 11, 2010 - Pets Light up Our Lives - Pets Light up Our Lives is an event to honor our pets; past, present and future. Please join us, with or without your pet, at 6:00 pm in McLean Park. Enjoy Christmas music, refreshments, gift basket raffles and a blessing of the animals in addition to the tree lighting. All pets that attend will receive a Christmas gift. Lights can be purchases for $10 per animal. White lights represents those who have past, red lights represent animals that are still with us and blue lights represent the over 200 pets in the shelter. In addition, lights will be sold at the tree lighting. You may also visit the tree at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
